About us

Anglicare Sydney has signed an agreement to acquire Infinite Care, a trusted and growing residential aged care provider, operating homes in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA. The agreement is expected to be completed around March 2026.

Together, our aged care capacity expands to around 5,300 beds, 46 homes and ~7,500 employees. We’ll be able to provide life-enriching care for more older Australians with new services and opportunities for residents and staff by combining the strengths of our organisations to shape the future of aged care.

Why we are doing this

This agreement brings benefits to staff and residents and grows our capacity for the future:

  • Better support for residents: Our priority is continuity of care. Over time, we will bring together the best of Anglicare’s Rhythm of Life person-centred approach and Infinite Care’s One Community program. We will also expand access to chaplaincy and pastoral care, invest further in palliative care capability, and share dementia care best practice across homes.
  • Better for staff: With a broader, national network we can offer greater career mobility and development pathways, increased investment in training and capability building, access to salary packaging (as a not-for-profit) and shared learning across states.
  • Stability and sustainability for the future: The aged care sector is becoming increasingly complex, with growing expectations around compliance, workforce capability and care standards. As a larger organisation, we’ll be in a much stronger position to maintain quality of care, meet increasing compliance requirements, and workforce needs.

What does this mean for residents and staff?

Residents and staff are our top priority, and the important message to residents is that there is no change to the consistency of care or those who serve them every day.

Together we have over 5,000 older people to care for every day, so maintaining high quality care without disruption is critical. Our priority is to ensure the same quality of care residents know and rely on, every single day, continue as normal.

Our shared commitment to caring for older Australians brings us together.

An exciting future – let’s care together
